Built into the lifecycle
Sustainability
Sustainability isn't a footer section at NexBixi — it's mapped to specific lifecycle transitions, from capital planning through decommissioning and circular economy. No ESG scores or certifications are claimed here; this describes design principles and roadmap direction.
- 01
Capital planning
Sustainability decisions made earliest are the cheapest to change and the most consequential — an option evaluated at the capital-planning stage can weigh embodied-carbon and lifecycle-resource implications alongside cost and schedule, before design commitments narrow the available choices. NexBixi is designed to keep that comparison connected to the same portfolio data used for cost and schedule evaluation, not a separate sustainability study run in parallel and reconciled later.
- 02
Design
During FEED and detailed design, material selection and construction method both carry real efficiency implications — a structural approach that uses less material, or a method that reduces waste, is a design decision like any other. Keeping engineering data structured and connected (the same Engineering & Connected Data capability that supports coordination generally) is what makes it practical to evaluate those trade-offs against real project data instead of rules of thumb.
- 03
Procurement
Procurement is where material and supplier sourcing decisions actually get made — connecting procurement tracking to sourcing data (material origin, supplier practices, transport distance where relevant) turns sustainability intent from a design-stage aspiration into a traceable procurement decision.
- 04
Construction
Waste and resource efficiency during execution depend heavily on work being genuinely ready when a crew starts it — rework and material waste both increase when work starts before it should. This is the same readiness discipline behind Advanced Work Packaging practice: fewer false starts is a resource-efficiency outcome as much as a schedule one.
- 05
Operations
Once an asset is operating, performance monitoring is what turns a design-stage efficiency assumption into an operating reality — or reveals where it didn't hold. This is a longer-term direction for NexBixi Intelligence & Automation capability, connecting operating data back to the design and delivery record rather than tracking performance in an isolated operations system.
- 06
Decommissioning & circular economy
The lifecycle's final stage, Circular Economy & Recycling, treats end-of-life as a planning problem with real value at stake, not a pure loss to be minimized. Planning material recovery and asset value recovery requires the same kind of structured, traceable project data this page has described at every earlier stage — which is the underlying reason sustainability is treated here as a lifecycle property of how NexBixi is built, not a separate feature.
